In order to save workbooks to the web you need to create a free Tableau Public account. You can create an account for yourself or your organization. Follow the steps below to create an account.
To create a Tableau Public account:

Download Tableau Desktop Public Edition and install the application.

Open data and build some views or dashboards. (Check out our Training to get started.)

Select File >Â Tableau Public > Save to Web

When prompted to log in, click the link to Create an account for FREE!

Complete the registration by providing a valid email address, display name, password, and agreeing to the Terms of Service. When finished click Create my account.

When your account is successfully created you can continue saving your workbook to the web by giving it a name.
When you create an account you are sent a confirmation email to the email address you provided during registration. To complete your registration, please click the link provided in the confirmation email within five days. While you can access your account and save to the web immediately, accounts that are not confirmed within five days become unavailable until registration is complete.
