Tableau Public is a free service for bloggers, journalists, armchair economists, sports enthusiasts, and others, that lets anyone explore and visualize data and share it as an interactive visualization on the Web. Once the view is on the Web, anyone can interact with it, download the data, or create a new visualization. No programming skills are required to create a view.

Tableau Public includes a free desktop product that you can download and use to author interactive views of your data. The Tableau Public desktop save things only to the Tableau Public Web server - nothing is saved locally on your computer. Because all data saved to Tableau Public is accessible by everyone on the internet, be sure to work only with publicly available (and appropriate) data.
